일본 미쓰비시자동차 수입을 추진하고 있는 대우자동차판매가 일본 현지 판매 가격이 1,000만 원 안팎인 경차의 수입도 검토키로 했다. 동아일보에 따르면 미쓰비시차 경차의 국내 판매 가격대는 1,200만∼1,500만원 선이다.
연비가 높고 독특한 디자인이 많은 일본 자동차가 가격을 무기로 국내 소비자를 공략하면 파장이 만만치 않을 것으로 보인다.
미쓰비시 ‘i’
대우자판은 미쓰비시차와 연말 양해각서(MOU)를 체결하고 내년 하반기(7∼12월)에 미쓰비시차 모델 가운데 1,500∼2,400cc급 승용차와 스포츠유틸리티차량(SUV) 등 3, 4개 모델을 들여와 국내에 판매한다는 계획이라고 신문은 전했다.
신문은 "모두 6종류인 미쓰비시차 경차 가운데 ‘i’와 ‘eK’ ‘파제로미니’ ‘미니카’ 등 4개 모델이 우선 검토 대상으로 거론되고 있다"면서 "지금까지 수입차의 국내 판매 최저 가격은 혼다의 ‘시빅1.8’ 모델로 2,590만원"이라고 보도했다.
